Role Overview: As an Inside Sales Professional at Alexanderwerk Incorporated, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our commercial efforts by driving sales, building lasting customer relationships, and maximizing revenue growth. This position requires an individual with a technical background and a profound understanding of the machinery industry. Your responsibilities will encompass various facets of the sales process, including lead generation, customer inquiries, proposal preparation, order processing, and overall sales support. As part of a small to medium-sized business, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute directly to our success and play an integral role in the growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Sales Expertise: Utilize your strong techno-commercial background to comprehend and effectively communicate the unique value propositions of our machinery and equipment to customers.

2. Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target potential customers through various channels, including industry research, trade shows, online platforms, and networking.

3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, addressing their inquiries, providing technical support, and offering solutions that align with their needs.

4. Quotation and Proposal Preparation: Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to prepare accurate and customized proposals, ensuring they meet customers' requirements and align with Alexanderwerk's capabilities.

5. Order Processing: Facilitate the order processing from initiation to completion, coordinating with various internal departments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

6. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors' activities, and market demands to contribute valuable insights to our sales and marketing strategies.

7. Sales Reporting and Analysis: Maintain comprehensive sales records and generate periodic reports, providing valuable data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies.

8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams to align efforts and contribute to the company's overall success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Studies in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred – experience in lieu of will be considered similarly.
  • Proven experience in technical sales within the machinery industry, with a successful track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong understanding of the machinery industry, its products, applications, and customer needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events.
